Love is in the air and Copper Mountain condo rental guests will be able to celebrate Valentine's Day and a long weekend with special events during the Feb. 14 - 17 long weekend.
Copper Uncorked and In Love is billed as an unusual food and wine pairing event featuring affordable wines from across the globe ripe for tasting throughout the weekend. Starting Feb. 14, restaurants around the resort offer dinner specials featuring unique wine and food pairings; think burgers and a Zinfandel or mac-n-cheese with a Pinot Noir. On Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. chefs from around Copper compete for best pairing during the Wine-n-Wing Challenge. With no buffalo wings allowed, chefs create pairs such as sweet and spicy Asian wings with a Sparking Sake or smoked wings with a Zinfandel. The best pairing voted by guests will win the title.
Follow the Saturday competition with a free Moonlight Snowshoe Tour from 5 - 8 p.m. led by Copper Mountain Resort Ambassadors. The tour starts from West Village and traverses frozen creeks and wooded trails, leading to a romantic meadow lit by the full moon. Love on Ice, ice skating performance, starts of the festivities on West Lake at 6 p.m. followed by a fireworks show will complete the romantic evening at 7 p.m. over West Lake, located in Center Village. In addition to the weekend’s events, retail locations across the resort will be offering specials through the weekend.
Learn at new trick or two at the K2 Ski and Snowboard Camp hosted by Woodward at Copper on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 16 – 17. Available for all abilities ages 8 and up, this camp is spent half in the Woodward Barn and half on snow in Woodward’s award-winning terrain parks.
