To prepare for its fifth anniversary season, Woodward at Copper is planning a major renovation of the 19,400-square foot action sports barn, expanding indoor and on-mountain offerings for all action sports, including BMX, freeride mountain biking and skateboarding, and digital media.

The upcoming listing of North American wolverines as an endangered or threatened species has huge implications for Colorado, and also gives the Colorado ski industry a chance to work off some of the bad karma it earned for opposing the reintroduction of lynx to the mountains of our state.

Should you be prepared for avalanches at a ski resort?
Most skiers probably don't expect to encounter an avalanche when they're skiing inbounds at Colorado ski areas like Copper Mountain, Breckenridge or Vail. But last year, in two separate accidents, two skiers were killed by snow slides, one at Vail and one at Winter Park.
