Old Man Winter Buries Copper Mountain With New Snow
Old Man Winter decided to send January off in style with an old-fashioned snow storm that may deliver several feet of snow to Copper Mountain and the rest of Colorado before all is said and done. As of Thursday morning (Jan. 30), Copper was reporting 8 inches of new snow, bringing the monthly total for January to more than six feet, and about 15 feet for the season. The mid-mountain base is 56 inches, with 64 inches up top.

Not to Brag, But We’re Measuring New Snow in Feet at Copper Mountain!
If you like it deep and soft, this could be the week to ski at Copper Mountain. A prolonged snowstorm is finally clearing the area, but not before dumping just about three feet of snow in the past week, and more than five feet since the start of January. Thanks to the fresh snow, Copper has about 2.000 acres of terrain open, with 57-inch base at mid-mountain.
