Skiing up the slopes has become so popular that resorts have started to establish common sense safety rules to avoid accidents with industrial snowmaking and grooming equipment.

Copper has reported nearly three feet of snow in just the past week, and nearly six feet for the month of December. The resort has nearly 2,000 acres of terrain available, served by 23 lifts.

Chance of Snow at Copper This Weekend
After a gangbusters November, Mother Nature turned off the snow machine in early December, but relief may be in sight if you're craving powder. A huge storm that's currently slamming the West Coast will move inland the next few days, bringing a chance of snowfall to the Colorado mountains.
