Success! U.S. Paralympic Skiers Earn Podium Spots at Sochi
U.S. and Colorado athletes earned podium spots during the first day of competition at the 2014 Paralympic Winter games, with Alana Nichols and Laurie Stephens taking silver and bronze in the women's downhill sitting race. Colorado's Allison Jones won her eighth Paralympic medal and her first downhill medal, as she took bronze in the women's standing class.

Another Weekend, Another Snowstorm at Copper Mountain
If you're heading for Copper Mountain this weekend, you ought to — once again — bring goggles and wax. Like clockwork, the Pacific storm track in bringing another round of snow to the Colorado high country. The heaviest snow is expected to fall during the day Friday, so weekend warriors heading up from the Front Range after work might encounter some snowpacked and icy roads, along with low visibility along I-70.

Copper Mountain Skier Scott Meyer is Racing for the U.S. at the 2014 Sochi Paralympics
Scott Meyer, a 12-year Frisco resident, skis full time for the U.S. Paralympic Team, and is representing Copper Mountain, Colorado and the U.S.A. at the 2014 Sochi Paralympics, which start with the March 7 opening ceremony.

New Frisco Whole Foods Market Set to Open April 29
Summit County locals and visitors will have a brand new shopping option starting this spring with the April 29 opening of the Frisco Whole Foods Market. Construction of the new store started last summer, anchoring a new shopping complex near the Frisco Transfer Center.
