Multiple fireworks displays, hoop dancers, and absinthe specials are all part of the New Years Eve celebrations at Copper Mountain.
The first decade of the 21st Century is about to end, so be sure to celebrate the end of the “oughts” in style at Copper. Here’s the lineup for New Years Eve.
New Year’s Eve 20X Schedule of Events (subject to change)
5 p.m.— Emcee Caliente Cristobal in Burning Stones Plaza, with bonfires, fire dancers, Poi Spinners and Glowsticks
6 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. — Kids’ Night Out Extended Hours. Free childcare with any $30 Copper shopping or dining purchase per child. Call 970.968.2318 ext. 38101 for reservations.
6:20 p.m. — Kaivalya Hoop Dancers Fire Performance at West Lake Overlook
7 p.m. — Fireworks over West Lake
DJ Set by Emcee Caliente Cristobal
Open Rail Jam in Burning Stones Plaza
8:50 p.m. — Torchlight Parade on the Mountain
9 p.m. — Fireworks over the Mountain
Celebrate New Year’s Eve Country Style in the Copper Conference Center*
6:30 – 8 p.m. — Country Style Buffet Dinner
6:30 – 10 p.m. — Kid’s Corral on the lower lever, with movies, games and crafts
7:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. — Country Western Dancing, including dance lessons by Roger and Teresa Moen – learn the Two Step, Electric Slide, line dances and more
9 p.m. — Exclusive Fireworks viewing from Kokopelli’s deck
*Reservations are required for all New Year’s Eve activities in the Conference Center.

New Year’s Eve Dining Specials (subject to change)
• CB Grille is offering a delicious five course meal for just $100 per person, including a Champagne toast. Selections include the Foie Gras French Toast appetizer and Live Maine Lobster, Wood Grilled Bison New York Strip, Venison and Truffle entrees. Your last desert of 2009 should be CB Grille’s Chocolate and Cherry Soufflé for two. Reservations are recommended, please call 970.968.3100.
• Pizza Carlo is serving their signature pizzas, pizza by the slice, giant calzones, hot deli subs, fresh salads, and much more until Midnight with $2.50 Coors/ Coors Light, $3 Root Beer Barrels and $5 Jaeger shots all night.

• Imperial Palace is offering a special New Year’s Eve Asian buffet. They specialize in Mandarin, Taiwanese and Szechwan dishes, located in Village Square. For more info, call 970.968.6688 or just stop by between 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.
New Year’s Eve Late Night Fun (subject to change)
• Woodward at Copper is providing guests with an all-ages hangout from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m., during the New Year’s Eve Barn Bash.
• Copper Red Hots is the place for late night hotdogs, fried food, chili, cheap drinks and much more.
• Endo’s Adrenaline Café is keeping the kitchen open until 10 p.m. for dinner. Then DJ Siren will be spinning all your favorite tunes well into the night.
• Enjoy a DJ Dance party at The Green Fairy Bar, from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m., Copper’s newest premier nightclub experience, with the latest in international dance music and European club atmosphere, or the underground absinthe bar featuring authentic, real wormwood absinthes from around the globe. • Incline Bar & Grill offers live music at 9:30 p.m. by Rojos Calientes, Summit County’s most exciting, inventive and respected acoustic band, providing a unique mixture of original music to form the band’s Bluegrass/Latin/Folk Rock sound.
• Jack’s Bar offers live music by Lefty Lucy, starting at 9 p.m.
• DJ Landry will be spinning tunes at Mulligan’s Irish Pub, starting at 10 p.m.
• Storm King Lounge is serving up sushi until 11 p.m., with entertainment until 1 a.m.
